About King Albert and these pages

King Albert

King Albert obviously has a history going back many years, but I have been unable to find much out about it. I originally learnt it from

"The Complete Patience Book" by Basil Dalton. John Baker Publishers Ltd, 1948. Republished by Pan Books Ltd, 1967.
Some of the example positions here come from that book.

These Pages

These applets, perl scripts and web pages are written and maintained by Richard Kaye. Please let me know what you think of them here. They, together with the overall concept are all copyright and may not be re-used without permission. To link these pages, please link the main introductory page which is here.

For more information on the author, look at some of his other web pages hosted at Birmingham University and at FreeUK.

The current status of these pages is that they are "under construction". (Note that, currently, the stuff is entirely untested on the netscape browser... there may be problems with JavaScript and the way netscape handles events.) I'd be grateful for any comments or suggestions, or any reports of errors or bugs via the feedback form.
